Adding/Changing a Security Link Profile Access Code (PAC)
As of January 24th 2024 a Profile Access Code (PAC) is required when:
● | Adding an OEM account to your Technician Profile, or |
● | Editing an existing Technician Profile that was created before January 24th 2024 |
In either situation you will be prompted to create a Profile Access Code (a 4 digit code) before you can save changes to your profile.
A Profile Access Code is required for account security, and to use Security Link.
Instructions to add a PAC are provided within the specific "OEM setup instructions" provide on the main menu (e.g. Setting up FCA /Stellantis® North America, Setting up FCA/Stellantis® International, Setting up Volkswagen® Vehicle Group, etc)
The PAC is added at the end of the setup process when linking your OEM account to your Technician Profile.
At the top of this Profile entry screen you need to enter a four digit code (Profile Access Code). Remember this code for future reference.
Complete the entire form and click Save and Next.
Note: You can change this code at any time from the Account Information tab in your Technican Profile (see Adding/Changing a PAC in your Technician Profile below).
If you edit an existing Technician Profile that was created before January 24th 2024 you will have to add a Profile Access Code (PAC) to your Technician Profile for security purposes. This is required in order to use Security Link.
Open the Account Information tab to edit your profile information.
Enter a four digit Profile Access Code as required, and when finished editing click Save. Remember this code for future reference.
You can change your PAC at any time, by entering a new four digit Profile Access Code. You can change it from the Account Information tab in your Technician Profile or from the Security Link tab by editing your linked OEM account (both ways are shown below).
